December Empties… Hits and Misses

In yesterday’s post I discussed wanting to clear my stash of products in an effort to make room in my home.  Tonight I’m sharing the products I emptied during the month of December.  I didn’t realize it but… I used a lot!

Here we go…

Shea Moisture Problem Skin Toner – $10 Ulta

I know previously I said I wasn’t using Shea Moisture products anymore but… this stuff is amazing.  Ever since I started using it, my skin has been more clear than it has ever been.  It definitely helped keep the acne at bay.

Re-purchase? Definitely

4 Naturals Afro Stretch Curl Cream – $10 Jet

This Summer I attended the Ubiquitous Hair Show in Washington, DC.  Initially I wasn’t going to buy anything but when I saw all of the good deals I could get I couldn’t help myself.  I picked this curl cream up and instantly fell in love.  It made my curls surprisingly moist which is something I really struggle with.

Re-Purchase?  Definitely

Julep Love Your Bare Face Cleansing Oil – $28 Julep

I got this in a Julep Maven box last year.  Honestly, if you’ve tried one cleansing oil then you’ve tried them all.  It took me a while to understand that it wasn’t for cleaning my skin, but for removing my makeup.  I have to say this one really didn’t WOW me.

Re-purchase? No

Osea Atmosphere Protection Cream – $48 Osea

I loved using this moisturizer.  It didn’t leave my skin oily and it definitely kept my skin moisturized during the cold and dry winter days.  I even kept it in my purse for on the go application.  The cost was definitely a turn off, thank goodness this one came in my Summer FabFitFun box.

Re-purchase? Yes, but only if it were at a lower price.

Previse HydroMilk – $48 Previse

I got this back when I was doing Boxycharm every month.  I loved this moisturizer so much and i tried my best to use it sparingly because at $48 a pop it was a little out of my price range… ok a lot out of my price range!  I do like that its sulfate and paraben free, and if you’re health conscious it’s also vegan.

Re-purchase? Yes, but only if it were at a lower price.

Kiel’s Rare Earth Pore Refining Tonic -$21 Nordstrom

This was the first product I had ever used from the Kiehl’s brand, and I really liked it because it helped minimize my humongous pores.

Re-Purchase? Definitely

Ole Henriksen Lavender Body Oil – $28 Ole Henriksen

This oil was a MAJOR MAJOR KEY to a peaceful nights sleep.  I used it literally every night after showering.  I actually found this bottle at TJ Maxx for only $14, but since then I haven’t been able to find it for that price again.

Re-purchase? Definitely

Honey Pot Sensitive Feminine Wash – $14 The Honey Pot

I’ve been on a journey to live a less toxic lifestyle for the last few years.  I started using organic and chemical free tampons and pads, but I still hadn’t found a good feminine wash.  I found out about The Honey Pot after scrolling through Instagram one day.  I’ve been hooked ever since.  Their products contain no chemicals and are plant-based, which makes them ideal for vegans and non-vegans alike.  They recently have recently started selling their products in certain Whole Foods and Target stores. Keep your eye out, I’m sure The Honey Pot is headed to a store near you!

Well… Thats it for December! I still have a long way to go before my drawers and cabinets are even close to being empty, especially because it seems like every week I’m getting new goodies in the mail!

Until next time…
